After a hiatus due to the global pandemic, one of Europe’s (maybe the world’s) premier Soccer Technology Business Events, SportsInnovation 2022 opened it’s gates at 9am CET this morning. At TRACAB, we love this event. It enables us to showcase our very latest innovations alongside our longtime partners in Germany including the DFL and Sportec Solutions, amongst many others.
Our team have prioritized Sports Innovation 2022 in our product development roadmaps for the past six months or so. We wanted to be ready to show our hard work as soon as the gates opened on Day #1. And we did.
Aside from the odd missing package not making it’s way from Stockholm to Dusseldorf (it happens right, probably more than it should, but it happens), the TRACAB team arrived safely from various locations throughout Monday and Tuesday.
Unlike most exhibitors at the event, we want to demonstrate our tech live, in real-time, proving our position as the inventor of real-time player tracking (it’s been 17 years or so now!) and cement our position as the leading tracking data company in the world. “Super low latency, Super high accuracy” is our internal motto threaded throughout our offices and teams. This demand on ourselves led to some logistical challenges, but with a little help from our friends at the show – we set up a fully operational live tracking data ‘hub’ in one of the executive boxes overlooking the main stage.
The box contained some of the latest live tracking data innovations in the world.
From Remote Operations and Live Broadcast Graphics Production, to The Vault – an asset management system that allows us to provide super-fast OCT (Offside Calling Technology) visuals as part of VAR solutions.
One of the most exciting (and most popular) reveals from us today, was our HD Skeletal/Limb Tracking Technology with Event Data. People stopped in the aisles of the show and said “wow, what is that and how are you doing it”?
That’s the kind of response we like. It certainly starts conversations and certainly did today.
SportsInnovation gives companies like ours a platform to showcase our stuff – and because of the show’s gravitas, it enables us to connect with some of the most senior decision makers in world football. All of the leading federations and leagues are in attendance and today, we met and impressed them all. Which is nice.
We’re off to a party on a boat tonight, which is also nice – but keep an eye on our social channels, especially LinkedIn and Twitter for updates from Day #2.
Danke,
